Title: SQL Application Architect
Location: West Chester, Pa
Duration: 3-6 Months
• Primary duties include, but not be limited to, analysis, design / architect, development, implementation, and support of data warehouses, and data models
• Lead the effort to design and develop data models - Conceptual, Logical and Physical database design.
• In-depth knowledge of various SQL versions.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to software developers in the design of database objects and SQL performance tuning.
• Define and enforce standards and conventions (definition, naming, abbreviation etc). Manage Data Dictionary / Metadata.
• 8+ years of database modeling and development experience in SQL environment. Strong SQL & TSQL is a must.
• Candidate should have experience in full life cycle (SDLC) of Data Warehouse - design and implementation.
• Ability to capture business requirements and ensure all requirements are appropriately addressed by the proposed solution is a must.
• Experience with Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading using ETL tools like SSIS, In-depth knowledge of industry standard ETL and BI tools.
• Demonstrated experience using data-modeling tools (Erwin preferred).
• Responsible for maintaining versions of all data models for production, test and development databases.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills are required.
• Prior experience with one of the following domain is desired: Capital markets / insurance / Acutuarial Science
One of the following domain experience is an absolutely must: Capital markets / Insurance / Investment Banking / Hedging / complex mathematical modeling systems
