Data Architect
Data Architects are needed for various project initiatives. These projects will primarily focus on functional business areas such as e-commerce, merchandising, credit, finance and marketing areas. Focus will not be on the data warehouse area or business intelligence areas. The candidates will focus efforts on one individual business area, but based on project demands, could work on projects across multiple business areas.
Projects could range from large projects to small/medium projects and even filler/support in nature. Data Architects at Kohl's are responsible for discussing business level data requirements with project teams, development of the logical data model, development of the physical data model, generation of the DDL for the Database Administrator. Also follow-up with the DBA to ensure that what was implemented accurately reflects the model.
