Title: Data Architect

Duration: 6+ Months
The Data Architect requested under this SOW must have an in-depth knowledge of UNIX/Linux server support with the ability to architect systems, install and upgrade operating system and application software in addition to the ability to transfer knowledge to management and peers.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
1. Review, install, maintain and test operating system and application software on UNIX/Linux server platforms.
2. Administer and tune UNIX/Linux servers for optimum operating efficiency.
3. Perform local security auditing and updates on UNIX/Linux platforms.
4. Assist with architecture and configuration of VMware environment.
5. Provide technical guidance to peers by instructing them in the maintenance and support of various components of the multi-processing systems hosted in the UNIX/Linux environment.
6. Assist with the architecture, design and implementation of an offsite data center for redundancy purposes.
7. Assist with the architecture and enhancement of distributed Enterprise backup system.
